A link between the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, sharing the border with the most populated country and the first economy of the continent, Chad is not only the Cradle of Humanity but also and above all a land of obvious economic opportunities. And the Special Economic Zones Administration Agency (SEZAA), which we have the privilege of directing, has the mission of working to provide suitable conditions for both national and foreign investors wishing to contribute to the socio-economic development of Chad.
Indeed, Chad, under the impetus of the High Authorities of the Republic in the forefront of which H.E.M Mahamat Idriss Deby ITNO and through the SEZAA is committed on the diversification of its economy with a view of creating wealth and generate decent jobs. To achieve this, incentive measures for the establishment of companies in special economic zones are recommended by the Government and AAZES is mandated to ensure their application.
A Land of breeding par excellence with an estimated 137.664217 head of livestock of all species in 2021, the country is resolutely committed to making a qualitative leap forward by methodically integrating the livestock market into the meat, leather and milk processing industry.
The other breast of the economy, agriculture which enjoys 30 million hectares of arable land will be boosted and anchored to industrialization also thanks to the facilities granted by the State.
Properly exploited, the extractive industries will enable Chad to take off. In addition to oil, the country is endowed with deposits of gold, iron, bauxite, salt and natron, and the establishment of economic zones provides real leverage for investors in this field.
The recommended monent is that Information and Communication Technologies to be put to good use enabling our country, which is at the heart of the continent, to open up to the global village. Specific incentives are provised for this purpose.
